The roll crusher, also known as roller crusher, teeth roll crusher or double roll crusher, is used to do medium and fine crushing of hard and medium hard ores and stones in the industries of ore beneficiation, chemical, cement, refractory matter, grinding materials, building materials. The roller crusher which is applied to produce melon rice stones and mung beans sand used in the building material industry has better crushing performance than ordinary crushers, thus making it widely used all over the world.
The fixed part of roller and movable roller are driven by the motor via reducer and v-belt and the raw materials fall into the part between the two rollers from the inlet of the machine. The two rollers rotate inward simultaneously. The materials are extruded, crushed and ground and then the finished products come out from the bottom of this crusher.
In a standard double roll crusher, the two cylinders each feature a steel or ceramic finish. A hopper or bin above the rollers drops rocks and other materials down into the gap between cylinders. The two cylinders rotate in opposite directions to force all materials into the space between the two units as it falls. The friction between the two wheels crushes the material, which then falls into a collection bin below the unit. Users must set the space between the rollers to match the desired size of the crushed particles.
Adjustment of the discharging materials: wedge-shaped or gasket adjustment device is installed between the two rollers; adjusting bolt is installed on top of the wedge-shaped device, and when the wedge is pulled up by the adjusting bolt, it will push the dynamic roller pulley away from the fixed pulley, thus making space between the rollers wider and particle size bigger; when the wedge moves down, the dynamic roller pulley is pressed by the hold-down spring and then the space gets smaller as well as the particle size. The gasket device works depending on the adjustment of the number and the thickness of gaskets. When adding more gaskets, space between rollers and the particle size will become big; vice versa.
