Different from the principle of general screening equipment, the high frequency mineral screen adopts the high efficiency, which, on the one hand, causes the destruction of the surface tension of pulp and the high-speed oscillation of the fine materials on the screen surface; on the other hand, accelerates the segregations of the useful mineral with large density (specific gravity) and increases the probability that the materials that are smaller than the separation granularity contacts with the sieve, creating better separation conditions.
The high frequency ore screen is widely used for the dry and wet screening, grading and dehydration in the beneficiation, coal preparation, chemical, brick-making, food, pharmaceutical, caustic soda, fertilizers, paper and other industries. It is also used for the grinding and classification of the fine-grained materials in the dressing plant. Under the premise of appropriate feeding concentration, feeding particle size as well as the granularity difference, the screening efficiency of the high frequency screen can be up to 70%. The high screening efficiency can lead to a significant reduction in cyclic loading and the content of the qualified particles of the oversize product, thus improving the processing capacity of the mill (generally it is about 5 to 10 percent). The particle size of the undersize material is strictly controlled in the screening process to eliminate the adverse influence of the coarse mineral particles on the concentrate grade. In addition, the pulp will have the role of density stratification under the role of high-frequency and small amplitude oscillation effect of the screen surface, which can significantly improve the grade of undersize product.
The high frequency mineral screen is characterized by the following features: (1) the screen has high screening efficiency and long service life; (2) it is easy to conduct the screen handling and adjust the tension; (3) the screen surface is not easy to be blocked, the screening efficiency is high and processing capacity is large.
